Ben and Maggie met in the Fall of 2007, while they were both working at the College of Social Sciences in Tallahassee, FL. Maggie was a new office assistant and Ben had just finished his first year in the office as the college web developer. After their first initial meeting, Ben kept finding reasons to come by Maggie's desk to "get water" or "check on a project," which led to conversation between the two. Since he was her closest friend in the office, he was the first person that popped into her mind to call for help when she was locked out of the office during her first errand run at the college – he was more than happy to rescue her! A few weeks passed and they had their first date, which started off as a meeting to play tennis, which turned into dinner, then coffee, then talking for a couple more hours. After that night, they both knew they had met someone special.
